iGuard FPS110 requires a switching DC 12V / 500mA power supply. Since most Door Strikes in the market also use 12V DC to operate, the same power supply can be shared by both iGuard FPS110 and the door strike, provided that the current rating is sufficient.
A note on power supply
There are commonly three kinds of power supply: un-regulated, regulated and switching power supply. Switching power supply works with iGuard even though it cannot be used with the door (due to inductive loading), which means you are not able to share the power supply between the iGuard and the door strike.
The rating of iGuard is <150mA idle, 400mA peak. Therefore, a minimum of 1000mA power supply is recommended for the daily operation. If you share the power supply with the door strike, please note that you need to add the required current of the door strike to the overall required current.
